INTRODUCING ….
America's
Corvette Club
America's
Corvette Club was founded March 17, 1983, and is sponsored by Lou
Bachrodt Chevrolet. We are a club devoted to "Corvette-ing"! America's Corvette Club members are well known throughout the Florida
Region, as well as many other states through their participation in
organized functions with other Corvette Clubs. Our members, comprised
of men and women, participate in Concours, Rallies, Speed Events, and
Socials.
A Concours is a display of Corvettes judged for their beauty,
cleanliness and perfection in various classes, such as Concours
Prepared, Modified, Street, Custom, and Wash & Show. A Rally is a
prepared set of driving instructions taking you through scenic routes
and testing your interpretive and accuracy skills. Speed Events
include: Drag Races, Funkhanas - partners performing antics while being
timed by the clock, and Autocross Racing - high/low speeds through
pylons and straight-aways.
These events are held under the rules and regulations of NCCC (National
Council of Corvettes Clubs) of which we are all members. Many members
of America's Corvette Club attend the National Convention held annually,
in various NCCC regions across the USA, which is the ultimate in
competition. Others go just to enjoy the event and the “Corvette
Family” time.
Our club also enjoys social outings, such as picnics, parties, sports,
dinners, parades, and friendly challenges from other clubs (bowling,
volleyball, etc.). Each member is welcome to participate in as many, or
as few events, as they wish. Now that you have the car, we think it is
important to enjoy it, and all that goes with owning “America’s Only
True Sports Car”!
Owning a Corvette of any year model makes you eligible for membership in
our club. You may wish to join simply for the social events, or you may
wish to participate in local car shows or NCCC events. Our members are
from all walks of life, all drawn together by this special car.
Together we represent a great deal of knowledge about the car, and are
proud of our members’ technical knowledge of the various year models.
If you are interested in learning more, please feel free to visit one of
our meetings (no obligation), and talk with us.
America’s Corvette Club meets on the 1st.
and 3rd Thursday of each
month at 7:30 PM in the meeting room
at Lou Bachrodt Chevrolet located at
1801 W. Atlantic Blvd., Pompano Beach
